Sludge is a
semi-solid product left from industrial or refining processes. A separated
solid suspended in a liquid, containing major quantities of interstitial water
between its solid particles. Sludge drying is the process of transforming sludge into useful products. Removal of water decreases storage
volume and transportation costs.

Depending on
the level of dry content, the sludge has a specific behaviour that influences
the thermal drying processes. There are three ways of transmitting heat are

Thermal Sludge Drying in Low Temperature
Ranges
Our
High-Tech dewatering and low temperature sludge dryers with advanced
dehumidification heat pump technology have the ability to process stabilized sludge
at 1% solids and dry to 90% solids, in one slow moving energy efficient
process. This is automated drying process uses the principal of continuous
drying by the convection of hot air.

Mixed Sludge Drying combines thin
film dryer and hot air belt dryer
This sludge
drying process recovers the thermal energy.
This treatment can be a three step process:

Solar Drying
In this
process, clean and renewable energy sources to dry sludge. It uses the same
principle as horticultural greenhouses, completed by a ventilation system. Solar sludge dryers require the sludge
to be dewatered before entering the dryer. Using these current solar
drying systems, the sludge then needs to be turned with a robotic vehicle
mechanism that aerates and mixes the sludge inside the drying chamber.
The limits
of sludge drying sometimes create the need for thermal drying by water
